» The Canary Islands » Costa del Azahar » Costa Blanca » Costa Brava » Costa Calida » Costa Dorada » Costa de la Luz » Costa del Sol » Extremadura » Costa de Almeria The Costa Cálida – ‘The Warm Coast’ – is ‘real’ Spain. Even now, with its excellent weather, delightful beaches and unspoilt countryside, the Costa Calida is largely unscathed by mass tourism. This is because the region has, until recently, been excluded from Spain's network of fast motorways. Recently, however, the A7/A37 motorway has been extended from Alicante to Cartagena and Murcia and there are also regular flights between Murcia (San Javier) airport and the Europe. These developments have really improved access to the area and this is reflected by rapidly increasing property values. The Costa Calida, therefore, represents an excellent investment opportunity. Walled off to the North, East and South by the inland mountain ranges of Andalucia, Castilla and Valencia, the Costa Calida is least known region of Spain yet one of the most historic and beautiful. It is where you’ll find the stunning Mar Menor lagoon, the heritage and ancient architecture of Cartagena and the walled city of Murcia.
